We designed and built a bespoke Bubble.io web application that streamlined Fruix Storage’s operations, automated bookings and communications, and gave them full control over inventory, payments and reporting—resulting in a more efficient, scalable business and a significantly improved customer experience.
The backstory
Fruix Storage approached us to modernise and streamline how they manage and sell their storage units. Their goal was to move away from manual processes and fragmented systems, and instead provide a seamless, self-service experience for their customers.
We delivered a fully bespoke web application, built on Bubble.io, combining consultancy, UX design and development into a single, end-to-end solution. The result is a powerful yet easy-to-use platform that gives Fruix complete operational control while enabling customers to book, manage and pay for storage online.
The Challenge
Prior to working together, Fruix Storage faced several operational challenges.
Manual booking processes were time-consuming and inefficient, placing unnecessary pressure on the team as demand increased. There was no clear, real-time view of inventory, making it difficult to manage availability across different types of storage including containers, offices and warehousing. Key systems such as payments, accounting and customer communications were disconnected, leading to duplication of work and increased risk of errors. At the same time, the customer experience was limited, with no simple way for users to browse availability, book units or manage their storage online.
As the business grew, these constraints became more pronounced. Fruix needed a solution that could centralise operations, automate routine tasks and create a more professional, scalable experience for both the business and its customers.

We designed and built a custom web application tailored specifically to Fruix Storage’s operational needs, delivered as a full consultancy, design and build service. At the core of the platform is a flexible booking system that allows customers to browse, select and reserve storage units online, supported by real-time inventory management across more than 300 spaces. This gives the Fruix team complete visibility and control over availability at all times.
A centralised client dashboard provides a clear overview of business activity, including recent orders and upcoming storage expirations, enabling faster and more informed decision-making. Automated communications were implemented throughout the customer journey, with instant booking confirmations and clear access instructions delivered via SendGrid. In addition, the business owner receives a daily summary email highlighting who is arriving and leaving the site, ensuring operational awareness without manual oversight.
Payments are handled securely through Stripe, with all transactions automatically synchronised into Xero. This removes the need for manual reconciliation and ensures financial records remain accurate and up to date. The platform also includes built-in management reporting, giving the team insight into bookings, occupancy and overall performance.

The introduction of the platform has fundamentally improved how Fruix Storage operates. Administrative overhead has been significantly reduced through automation, freeing up time for the team to focus on growth rather than day-to-day management.
